The history of the LUXMAN audio brand began in 1925, at the birth of radio broadcasting. LUXMAN has paid particular attention to the world of audio and has gained high reputation as a quality brand of high-end audio products both domestically and internationally. People tend to open their mind to natural things and react negatively to the unnatural. Natural sound, without coloration, develops an intimacy between the music and the listener. Naturally and purely reproduced music resonates with the listener’s imagination. LUXMAN reflects this effect in our product development. Music that features a performer's true passion and which a recording engineer has worked on precisely benefits from the fine nuances in sound which LUXMAN aims to reproduce, conveying the sprit of the artist and the enthusiasm of the performance. We strive to bring to the listener the experience of unlimited, pure music. Composers, performers and recording engineers have poured their true feelings into our favorite pieces of music. LUXMAN would be satisfied if the listener could experience those same passions through our products. LUXMAN has celebrated its 90th anniversary and hopes to discover new excitement through wonderful music and to continue to share that pleasure with everyone.

The ultimate expression of musicality. Luxman's flagship SACD/CD player, the D-10X builds on the brilliant heritage of the acclaimed D-08u, adding more playback capabilities, the latest conversion technology, a robustly reinforced mechanism and a refined analog output stage.
Introducing LxDTM-i – the LUXMAN original Disc Transport Mechanism (improved).
Here is the world premiere of the ROHM Semiconductor MUS-IC™ BD34301EKV digital-to-analog converter (as of May 2020).
Introducing ODNF-u – Only Distortion Negative Feedback (ultimate) – in a fully balanced output amplifier.
Well-grounded in fundamental principles and endowed with the most advanced mechanical, digital and analog technology, the LUXMAN D-10X opens the curtain on the ultimate soundstage.
To minimise even the slightest distortions triggered by vibration and resonance, we upgraded the disc drive, creating the LxDTM-i – LUXMAN original Disc Transport Mechanism (improved). We enclose the drive in 8 mm thick aluminium sides that extend to the front and rear panels, plus a 5 mm thick steel top plate. For added protection, the physical mounting system forms an integrated structure that supports the side frame. Together with an improved disc reading mechanism, the result is playback of an altogether higher order.

The D-10X marks the debut of the world’s finest D/A converter, the MUS-IC™ BD34301EKV from ROHM Semiconductor. Used in dual mono configuration, these converters combine top-flight specs with an impressive suite of silicon-level refinements.MQA (Master Quality Authenticated) is an award-winning British technology that delivers the sound of the original master recording. The player includes MQA technology, which enables you to play back MQA-CDs as well as MQA audio files up to 24-bit transferred via USB, optical and coaxial inputs.
ODNF-u balanced analog circuit
ODNF-u balanced analog circuit
Luxman's years of ODNF amplifier development have resulted in ODNF-u – Only Distortion Negative Feedback (ultimate) – which debuts on the D-10X. This fully balanced configuration maximises error detection accuracy, minimising distortion. You’ll hear far greater expressive power with enhanced micro-dynamics across the audio spectrum, especially in the higher frequencies. The stage also achieves a natural and smooth waveform without the conventional output filters. The secret is the tailored, gradual 1st order filter × 3 band processing inside the circuitry. Superb circuitry deserves a strong chassis. To protect the analog signal from changes in ground impedance and magnetic fields, the D-10X incorporates a composite, loop-less chassis. Well shielded, the chassis is also effective at blocking digital noise.
To provide highly abundant, highly stable power, Luxman increased the power transformer capacity by 27% compared to the previous flagship. Fitted with independent regulators for each circuit along with formidable filter capacitors for the ultimate stability.

Luxman D-380 Compact Disc Player
£4300.00
A traditional LUXMAN design that brings new enjoyment to CD listening
The D-380 is a digital CD player that can also play music through the vacuum tube output and which bears the number ‘38’ – a number synonymous with the golden era of LUXMAN vacuum tube amplifiers. This player features a vacuum tube output consisting of a buffer circuit using ECC82 vacuum tube and a dedicated transformer as well as an advanced digital circuit with a 32-bit compatible DAC and a jitter reduction IC. The D-380 is housed in a classical wooden box and enhances the enjoyment of listening to CD’s for the many fans of music played through this mature music medium.
As part of the ‘38’ series, the D-380 CD player is equipped with the function to select the output per musical taste by using a lever switch located on the front panel. The user can choose between a high purity semiconductor output that connects directly to the DAC chip or a vacuum tube output in which the buffer circuit using the ECC82 vacuum tube is connected to the high sound quality film capacitor and dedicated large output transformer. The semiconductor output supports sound with a vivid resolution and high quality source whilst the vacuum tube output brings a rich density and expression to the source with the appropriate addition of harmonic components. This switching of the tonal quality can be done even whilst a CD is playing. When the vacuum tube output is selected, the ECC82 is subtly illuminated, a rich design element that adds to the ambience.

The D-380 is equipped with a Texas Instruments PCM5102A DAC chip that supports 192kHz/32bit processing and incorporates a high-grade buffer amplifier. The embedded digital filter allows 2 types of tonal quality to be selected and reproduced without issue by remote control operation.
Dedicated IC for jitter reduction
Dedicated IC for jitter reduction
To achieve an accurate playback of the music on a disc, not only does the clock to transfer the data need to be highly accurate, but also fluctuation on the time axis (jitter) needs to be thoroughly eliminated. To realise this, the D-380 is equipped with a dedicated jitter reduction IC to suppress distortion originating from jitter at D/A conversion and achieve the expression of high quality sound. In addition to this, the digital audio can be outputted externally via the coaxial / optical line terminals (output ‘off’ is also selectable by remote control operation). The option of expanding or upgrading the system in the future, such as adding a digital recorder or D/A convertor, is also available.
Large FL display
