MA Platinum PL200 II - Discontinued Model
Ex-display/demo pair available in Gloss Ebony
Price: £4000 (new £7275)
It’s unlikely you’ll discover a more persuasive speaker than the PL100 II in its price class, but compare the floor-standing PL200 II with its smaller sibling and immediately you’ll notice the effect of four drivers in a larger cabinet.
Such is the quality of Platinum II’s engineering that the character of the sound remains powerfully consistent and expressive, but with the addition of a second 6.5” RDT II driver, the PL200 II’s bass has more weight, while its dedicated 4" RDT II midrange driver brings further definition to vocals and strings.
Through the PL200 II, subtle textures are more vividly described and every note rendered with greater authority. It’s a factor of scale. Platinum II’s class-leading accuracy is a given, you simply need to match it with the size of your room.

Quad QII-Forty Power Amplifier - Stereo Pair
Ex Display/Demo - early model
Were £3999.99 a pair
To Clear £1900 sold as a pair only
9 Month Warranty, 90 days on valves
The Quad II-forty power amplifier is much more than a tribute to one of the most famous designs in audio – but refined and powerful in the modern sense of the terms. Although the circuit topology has changed a little from the original, significantly better components and a brand new transformer design have been engineered. While still being delicately balanced a fast, crisp and detailed sound is achieved, whilst producing an output current suitable for modern loudspeakers, including our very own ESL. KT-88 output valves work in a push-pull configuration, while a choice of 4 Ohm or 8 Ohm taps allows for a wide choice of loudspeaker configurations.

Were £1625.00 a pair
SALE Price £900.00 pair

The Gold 100 speaker has been carefully designed so that it can be placed in smaller rooms. The class-leading driver technology from the flagship Platinum II series and the beautiful cabinet construction ensure a premium sound and appearance wherever it is positioned.
The Gold 100, is the only stand mounting speaker of the series. The combination of 6½" (165 mm) C-CAM mid/bass driver, MPD high-frequency transducer and rear-facing HiVe II port in a compact, elegant cabinet makes this two-way loudspeaker sound far bigger than it is – it’s composed, adaptable and capable of greater bass presence than seems feasible.
Above all, it’s an accurate and informative listen, able to bring the best from its partnering electronics and the music you’re listening to. Small, in this instance, is remarkably beautiful.
Key Features
Two-way, rear ported cabinet configuration featuring HiVe II port technology – improved transient response and tighter bass, due to smoother air-flow

Hand-crafted and available in a sleek satin black, white or grey finish, Studio are a timelessly elegant pair of speakers. To ensure a superlative performance an optional black or white dedicated floor stand (STAND) is available.
Driver Design
Studio’s dual 4" drivers are modified versions of those used in Monitor Audio’s flagship Platinum PL500 II speaker. Their sound is clear and natural, with a deep bass and plenty of mid-range detail.
The drivers are designed to be incredibly low in distortion and use the same magnetic design principles and material choice as the class-leading Platinum speakers. An MPD (Micro Pleated Diaphragm) high frequency transducer has been designed to provide incredible articulation due to its low mass diaphragm. MPD transducers work in the same way as a super-fast accordion by rapidly squeezing the pleats to produce a smooth, wide and naturally fast response way into the ultra-sonic band. As a result, the sound is more lifelike, releasing the high harmonic spectrum of every note without the distortion that blurs definition.
Mechanical and Visual design
Studio’s elegant cabinet is tuned using two rear mounted HiVe II ports at the top and bottom of the cabinet. The dual ports ensure the pressure inside the cabinet is symmetrically balanced and that there is no turbulence and subsequent air noise. HiVe II technology ensures air moves in and out much quicker than a conventional port, resulting in fast, powerful bass coupled with superior transient response.
High-grade polypropylene film capacitors, air-core and laminated steel-core inductors have been selected to preserve the best possible signal integrity. The purist electrical chain is complemented by a pair of precisely machined terminals developed for the Platinum Series. These are rhodium plated to provide the lowest contact resistance and long-term consistency.
The drivers are surrounded and clamped by a rigid die-cast aluminium sub-baffle to provide rigidity. The mechanical structure is enhanced further using renowned bolt- through driver technology to provide the ultimate cabinet bracing.

Wharfedale Diamond 155 Floor standing Loudspeakers
Were £500.00 a pair
SALE Price £225 a pair
Finish: Black Ash
2 pairs available
Wharfedale's slender, yet composed floorstander the Diamond 155 is part of Wharfedale's acclaimed reborn Diamond 100 series, taking technology developed from their high-end Jade range. Featuring woven kevlar bass cones and a new bass reflex port located in-between the plinth and base.
It's the kind of loudspeaker boundary-pushing and physics-changing philosophy which has kept Wharfedale top of the UK tree and the Diamond 155 is a fine example of this. Wharefdale took the already impressive Diamond 10 series and deconstructed it to create this 11th generation of speaker. In went woven Kevlar® bass drivers, ribbed for extra strength giving you much more consistency and precision in audio reproduction. The Diamond 155 possesses a much wider soundstage giving individual instruments their own space to perform.
With the unique bass reflex port system, Wharefdale had a total rethink which is about as out of the box as you're ever likely to see in a speaker design. The Diamond 155 features a brand new style of bass reflex porting. When normally positioned on the rear or front of the speaker the Diamond 155 instead ports the bass, well, down at the base! An integral plinth 'lifts' the speaker meaning the speaker is both easier to position in a room with no walls to take into account, and bass output is made more efficient. It's a groundbreaking redesign which breathes new life into an old concept.

High-end turntable with 10“ tonearm
Superlative vinyl performance in a more compact size!
The Xtension 10 chassis is made from MDF filled with metal sand, that gives high mass and is non-resonant. Magnetic feet, which decouple the main plinth from its base, are combined with a weighty 22 kg total turntable mass. With these two magnets located in the feet, the turntable is practically floating. The result is a unique combination of ‘mass loaded’ and ‘floating turntable’ design principles. Instead of the old standard adoption of pure metal used for the main platter, we’ve found a perfect alloy which we damped on the inner side with Sorbothane®. Additionally we’ve glued recycled Vinyl records to the top (which act as a perfect mat) and bake this ‘sandwich’ before precision balancing it. The final product subsequently benefits from a wonderfully resonance-free, heavy platter, that runs ultra-silently on an inverted ceramic ball bearing with magnetic suspension. The Pro-Ject 10” Evolution with its tonearm base also benefits from ‘high-mass’ technologies, and is isolated from the main board by a sheet of Sorbothane®. To use this tonearm with a wide range of top quality phono cartridges, from 4 to 14 Grams it comes with a set of 4 different Sorbothane®- damped counterweights.
The Xtension 10 Evolution comes standard with the premium tonearm cable 5pin > RCA cable. For an optimal connection to the Phono Box RS or RS2, the symmetrical premium tonearm cable 5pin > XLR is available separately. Phono Box RS and RS2 offer balanced phono inputs, what guarantees superior results in high-end vinyl reproduction with a balanced signal source.
NOTE: The signal source and the receiving device have to be equipped with balanced connections. Transmission of audio signals in a balanced mode reduce the influence of interference due to external stray electric fields significantly.
